General Statement of Job Function
The Director provides leadership and oversight for the Doctor of Ministry (DMin) Program, working with administrators, faculty, staff, students, ministry leaders, and prospective students. This role supervises the Doctor of Ministry Program Administrator and the Assistant Director(s) of the DMin Program for both the English and Korean tracks. This is an Administrative Faculty position with a teaching role as determined by the Faculty Handbook.
Essential Functions
- Communicates the vision of the DMin Program at Denver Seminary.
- Promotes program growth through leadership, marketing, and student recruitment.
- Collaborates with institutional vice presidents.
- Stewards curricular needs through the appropriate academic committees.
- Networks with churches, denominations, and organizations domestically and globally to expand the reach of the DMin Program.
- Teaches as appropriate to the individual’s discipline and program needs.
- Participates in relevant scholarly and professional organizations.
- Participates as a member of a School in Seminary roles and responsibilities.
- Fulfills other responsibilities and duties assigned to all faculty in the Faculty Handbook.
Essential Functions
- Cooperates with internal investigations, including Title IX and workplace matters, and with applicable administrative, licensing, or court proceedings.
- Provides leadership and active participation in legal proceedings involving the Seminary when required by administrative responsibilities.
Education/Training
- PhD or an appropriate doctoral degree from an accredited institution, with strong experience in research methodologies, required.
- Master of Divinity degree in addition to the doctorate preferred.
- Significant senior-level ministry experience required.
- Solid understanding of the Evangelical movement in North America and globally required.

- A genuine, heartfelt love for pastors and parachurch leaders.
- Demonstrated communication competency in interpersonal and organizational settings.
- Ability to recruit and mentor students and to lead and oversee a larger DMin program.
- Ability to articulate God’s mission (missio Dei) and promote that vision within the program.
- Demonstrated ability to grow an organization or program.
- Unequivocal support for Denver Seminary’s Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision, and Core Commitments.

Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Normal office working conditions, including computer usage, may require occasional standing, walking, long periods of sitting, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
