About the Moderator
Dr. Jessica Schroeder
Dr. Jessica J. Schroeder is a writer, editor, and entrepreneur. A self-described “practical theologian,” she earned her Ph.D. in Systematic Theology at Wheaton College where she wrote about the role beauty plays in human knowledge of God. She is also a graduate of Denver Seminary and Colorado Christian University, holding an M.A. in Theology and B.A. in Theology with a concentration in Biblical Studies and a minor in Worship Arts. Topics that most interest her include theology’s intersection with beauty, delight, food, nutrition, stewardship, climate, and ecology. Along these lines, she hosts the “Eating for Eden” podcast, a food-first approach to climate action. Brought up in the sturdy Midwest, she resides near the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains with her (Colorado native) husband, where they regularly enjoy tea, wine, homemade sourdough bread, and mountain hikes.
