Shannon Preaching Lectureship and Seminar
Study the book of Acts under the expert guidance of Dr. Craig S. Keener, author and professor of Biblical Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary, during the Shannon Preaching Lectureship and Seminar. This 3.5-day event will promote Big Idea Expository Preaching from the Book of Acts by combining Dr. Keeners’s lectures on twelve specific passages from Acts with the practice of sermon development.
Dr. Ramona Spilman, pastor of Adult Ministries & Missions at Cherry Hills Community Church, Dr. Matt Wolf, pastor of Arise Church Denver, and Dr. David Ward, Director of Denver Seminary’s Compelling Preaching Initiative, will facilitate group discussion among the participants to discern how these passages might best be preached. By the end of the seminar, each participant will have the foundation of a sermon series from Acts that can be preached in the local context throughout the coming year.
