Dr. Jon Garcia is a historian of Latina/o religion whose research explores how Latina/os navigate culture, identity, and belonging in the borderlands. His work has been supported by the American Society of Church History, the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Institute for Humane Studies. He has contributed scholarly essays to forthcoming volumes with UNC and Stanford University Press. Outside of academia, Jon enjoys rafting, dancing, and storytelling. He lives in southern California with his wife Blake, and their dog, Magnus—unquestionably the cutest pup in the world.
