Dr. Sam Kurien

Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Technology

With more than twenty-five of experience in enterprise technology leadership, Dr. Kurien has transformed systems and structures to support institutional growth and mission alignment.

Before joining Denver Seminary, he served as the Global CIO of The Alliance, supporting operations in over eighty countries and 1,500 staff worldwide. There, he led mission-critical initiatives, including ERP and CRM implementations focused on Advancement and Financial applications. Dr. Kurien also advanced cloud adoption, digital transformation, and cybersecurity maturity across the global organization. In addition to his executive leadership across for profits and non-profits, he has taught Information Systems and Statistics at Colorado Christian University, bringing academic insight to his practical, solutions-oriented approach.

Dr. Kurien holds a PhD in Management Information Systems and has pursued post-doctoral research in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. He brings a rare ability to integrate cutting-edge technology with theological vision and pastoral sensitivity and is deeply invested in ministry and discipleship, embodying a model of leadership that is both mission-driven and people-focused.
