Kristy McGarvey is dean of students and adjunct faculty at Denver Seminary, bringing over 15 years of experience in Christian higher education and facilitating student and resident life at Wheaton College and Crown College. She holds an MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary and an MA in Intercultural Studies from Wheaton College.
Kristy has worked in residence life since 2006 and student affairs since 2014. Her past roles include Director of Graduate Student Care, Associate Director of Student Life, Residence Life Coordinator, Director of Leadership Development and Transitions, Residence Director, Residence Director of Apartments and Houses, and Assistant Director of Residence Life. She has also served as Pastoral Care Coordinator at Church of the Resurrection in Wheaton, IL.
She has taught at Crown College and Wheaton College on topics including Sexuality and Singleness, Race and Diversity, and Personal Formation. She has also taught at Wellspring Church in Englewood, CO and Church of the Resurrection in Wheaton, IL on Jesus and Women in the Gospels, the book of Colossians, and Ignatian Spiritual Practices.
