POSITION OVERVIEW

The KIDS Pastor oversees kindergarten through fifth grade. 

This role will oversee kids, adult volunteers, and leadership teams. The KIDS Pastor position requires a “LEADER OF LEADERS”.

Current Culture:

At mccKids we have the most AMAZING volunteers! We are 120+ volunteers strong, from teenagers to seniors, serving 200+ kids regularly. Our team has a well-established culture that kids are not the church of tomorrow but are the church of today. Kids may be small but they are able to have a big impact for the kingdom, even at an early age. We are not seeking a leader with the mentality that we are here to babysit kids. We are seeking a leader which will engage with our kids and parents. The leader we desire is able to be a kid with the kids, confidently lead adult volunteers and partner with parents. We are looking for someone to join our family ministry team so we can reach this generation together! 

Current Worship Experience Structure:

WEEKLY WORSHIP Experience (infant-6th grade)

mccKIDS occurs every Sunday morning at 9 & 11 AM

We desire to disciple KIDS in THREE ways:

1. Weekly worship experience

We strongly believe in presenting a creative, exciting, and life-impacting experience each week including excellent worship and a relevant message! During this experience kids not only have a place to belong but also a place where they are known. This happens best in small groups. That’s why we include small groups in our Sunday morning experience.

2. EVENT EXPERIENCES

The events we have throughout the year allow families to connect with each other and other families. They also offer kids more opportunities to experience God’s presence. These events are experiences like Fall Festival and Kids’ Retreat.

3. MISSION experiences

We desire KIDS to have a passion for ALL SOULS. We want them to desire to reach those in the community and around the world. We have yearly campaigns to raise awareness and funds for projects that help reach people. We also create mission experiences as part of our yearly curriculum where kids are exposed to other places and cultures.
