The Director of Student Ministries (6th grade – – 12th grade) will lead, cast vision, and develop leaders to impact our students with the love of Jesus Christ. We are community-driven and mission-minded and encourage yearly Mission Trips for our students and camp experiences. In addition, weekly evening gatherings occur throughout the school year, with the summer being a time to connect recreationally and socially. The right person will be highly motivated to develop and nurture relationships through personal interaction and a well-trained and motivated volunteer staff. We are looking for a person to establish a solid leadership base (adults and students) and create a vision and strategy to spiritually and numerically grow the Student Ministry.

• Passionate about evangelism and investing in middle and high schoolers

• An experienced, dynamic leader (from either a corporate, academic, or church environment)

• A motivating team-builder

• A visionary inspirer, whether sitting with 20 people or standing in front of 200

• Able to deliver relevant, Biblical messages

• Not intimidated by the idea of leading volunteers

• Teachable, humble, and hungry to learn and grow

• Hard-working but serious about having fun!

• A proactive self-starter, entrepreneurial thinker, but also a collaborative team player

The Primary Task:

• Ensure that all students are welcome and encouraged to participate

• Equip and encourage students to develop their relationship with God

• Challenge students to respond to God’s call to serve in our community and world

• Provide students with appropriate activities that lift them up in a fun atmosphere of spiritual growth, development in faith, and making and keeping friends

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a connected relationship with God and rely on His power to live the Christian life and minister out of an overflow of relationship with Jesus. Grow in being a disciple of Jesus and in making disciples of Jesus.

• Help plan, develop, and implement all aspects of Student Ministry in community building, discipleship, mission, and outreach.

• Lead the development of the vision and goals of the Student Ministries

• Mentor students in developing their leadership skills.

• Recruit and train volunteers in all aspects of student ministries.

• Coordinate Sunday morning gatherings for grades 6-8 and recruit teachers.
