General Statement of Job Function
As an active member of the Student Life and Enrollment Management (SLEM) and Student Life Department, the Student Success Coordinator executes the critical administrative functions and offers administrative support for the Dean of Student Success and the Student Life team. This position requires skill in administrative detail management and is extensively involved in written and verbal communication within the seminary community and with public constituents on behalf of the SLEM Department. This is a part-time (20 hours per week) position.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates with the Associate Director of Student Engagement to implement the Student Life communication strategy which includes the distribution of the weekly e-newsletter, management of the campus screen content, administrative upkeep of the student facing resources, collaboration with the Student Leadership Board, and creating and sending special event mailers for Student Success events and announcements.
- Provides part-time coverage of the SLEM front desk and phone lines (Monday-Friday, 12:30-5 pm); coordinates with the Enrollment Coordinator to ensure full desk coverage. Organizes and executes the daily front desk closing procedures and support coverage of the front reception area on a daily/weekly basis.
- Manages the Student Life email account and the associated job and housing board resources.
- Serves as the primary liaison to third-party organizations, ministries, and businesses whose services can benefit students, including the upkeep of on-campus bulletin boards.
- Performs administrative responsibilities for the Dean of Student Success and the Student Life team such as meeting management, report generation, file maintenance and document upkeep of Student Success policies and procedures.
- Maintains and facilitates the Student Life Website.
- Assists in coordinating the departmental budget by upkeeping records on spending and completing credit card approvals for Student Life.
- Participates in facilitation of student events (such as orientation and other student-facing events).
- Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Student Success and the Associate Director of Student Engagement
Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Committed personal relationship with Jesus Christ required and a lifestyle consistent with the Seminary’s Community Values and Behavioral Commitments
- Agreement with Denver Seminary’s statement of faith
- Prior experience in office setting and working on a team
- Developed interpersonal skills. Ability and commitment to discern and maintain confidentiality
- Strong writing skills, editing skills, and proofreading abilities are required
- Experience in website design and maintenance
- Design expertise strongly preferred to ensure brand consistency and compelling aesthetic for Student Life communication
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form
- Administrative skills, such as typing, filing, and experience with standard office equipment is required
- Ability to work within established deadlines and to self-appoint deadlines when necessary
- Self-driven and motivated: The role will require the ability to drive tasks and responsibilities with autonomy and clarity of purpose.
- Written and verbal skills: The ability to write and speak clearly and articulately is necessary to present professional and friendly communication to constituents (students, outside inquiries, etc.)
- Detail oriented and timely follow-through: The role will necessitate a keen eye for detail in completing projects and tasks to provide excellent and efficient work without extensive management or review of work.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about Student Life and Enrollment Management: A strong desire to continue and improve the priorities of Student Life and Enrollment Management.

Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Normal office working conditions including computer usage may require occasional standing, walking, extended periods of sitting, climbing stairs, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
