Littleton, Colo. – Denver Seminary has received a $500,000 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to continue cultivating opportunities for pastoral leaders to thrive in ministry through the Soul Care Initiative.

We are thrilled to announce that Lori Mack has been appointed as Denver Seminary’s first Vice President of People and Culture, effective July 1, 2025. In this role, Lori will serve an advisory role to the President as a member of the Executive Leadership Council.

This appointment coincides with an important shift in how we approach the life and health of our employee community. In Memory of Dr. Bruce Demarest

In 1975, Dr. Demarest was invited by Dr. Vernon Grounds to join the Seminary faculty in Systematic Theology. During the 1980s, he began to offer courses in formation and soul care, and soon a Certificate in Formation was developed, an M.A. in Christian Formation was created, and classes were added to the Seminary’s Doctor of Ministry track—Leadership in Community Spiritual Formation.
