The Gospel Initiative at Denver Seminary to Host “Evangelicals and Creation Care” with Esteemed New Testament Scholar Dr. Doug Moo
The Gospel Initiative at Denver Seminary is hosting a lecture and Q&A with New Testament scholar Dr. Doug Moo on the crucial topic of “Evangelicals and Creation Care,” on Wed., June 7, at 6:30 p.m. The free event will be hosted on the Seminary’s campus at 6399 S. Santa Fe Dr., Littleton.
Moo, a renowned New Testament scholar and author, serves as the Kenneth T. Wessner Professor of New Testament at Wheaton College and Graduate School. He is a leading voice on the integration of faith and environmental responsibility and co-authored Creation Care: A Biblical Theology of the Natural World. In addition, Moo has published numerous influential works, including commentaries on Romans and James.
Throughout this event, attendees will explore the roles of evangelicals in creation care, why we should talk about creation care, and how can we use Scripture to address creation care. The event aims to foster a thoughtful and constructive dialogue on this pressing topic.
“How we engage the controversial and difficult issues in our polarized society greatly affects how people hear the gospel,” said Denver Seminary President Dr. Mark Young. “The Gospel Initiative at Denver Seminary exists to help God’s people engage those issues in a way that enhances the credibility of our gospel witness.”
The event is open to the public, and individuals from various backgrounds, including students, pastors, theologians, and community members, are encouraged to attend. Registration is available on Denver Seminary’s website at DenverSeminary.edu/TGI, or by contacting Jason Woodman, TGI’s director of Public Engagement.
