General Statement of Duties
The Administrative Assistant assists the Chancellor’s Office in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to, calendaring travel, some assistance with booking travel, mail retrieval, collecting, scanning, coding, and uploading business-related receipts to RE Financial. He/she will submit Travel Expense reports and mileage reimbursements on a monthly basis to Accounts Payables.
Essential Functions
- Performs limited accounting and calendaring work for the Chancellor’s Office:
- Meets all Accounts Payable deadlines for submission of credit card receipts.
- Submits hours worked on Paylocity.
- All Travel Expense and Mileage Reports are to be turned in monthly to Accounts Payables.
Education/Training
- High school diploma required.
- College-level coursework experience is preferred.
- Current Seminary student eligible for work-study employment
- Valid Driver’s License with current insurance.
Qualifications
- Must have current Work Study financial aid.
- Committed personal relationship with Jeus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with serving at Denver Seminary.
- Approach and handle all work with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Comfortable communicating with internal and external constituents.
- Complete several projects simultaneously to meet required deadlines.
- Accepts supervision while being able to delegate and serve others.
- Able to communicate in oral and written forms and do editing and proofreading.
- Proficient with MS Office and standard office equipment.
- Servant’s heart, team player, customer-focused, quick to absorb info and learn.
- A committed personal relationship with Jesus Christ is required as a lifestyle consistent with serving at Denver Seminary.
Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time and frequent bending, stooping or stretching. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work is performed in an office environment and requires working at a computer for extended periods of time; eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, the ability to distinguish letters and symbols, corrected vision and hearing within normal range. Requires speaking and writing proficiently in the English language. Requires the use of office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, copiers and fax machines.
