Our friend and long-time Denver Seminary supporter, Harold Simpson, passed away on Tuesday, May 20th, just two weeks shy of his 101st birthday. Harold and his wife Virginia started giving to Denver Seminary in the 1950’s. Their generosity not only helped the Seminary to stay solvent at times of critical need, but it also provided resources to help the Seminary push forward into significant growth.

Although many in our community have never met the Simpsons in person, their generosity has blessed all of us. Let’s remain in prayer for the Simpson family, thankful for all the Lord has done through them at Denver Seminary.
Dr. Gregg Okesson Named Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Denver Seminary

Denver Seminary announced today the appointment of Dr. Gregg Okesson as Provost and Chief Academic Officer (CAO), effective July 1, 2026. Dr. Okesson brings extensive experience in theological education, missiology, and academic leadership, most recently serving as the Ira Gallaway and D.M. Beeson Chair of Leadership Development, Mission and Evangelism, and Professor of Leadership and Development at Asbury Theological Seminary.
