Littleton, Colo. – Denver Seminary has announced that its School Counseling program has received accreditation from the Council on Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

“Receiving CACREP accreditation validates the quality of Denver Seminary’s School Counseling Program,” said Dr. Adam Wilson, program director and director of the School Counseling Mental Health Initiative. “Our students will graduate with the skills, confidence, and credentials required by the state of Colorado and numerous other states to pursue licensure as a school counselor.”

Denver Seminary’s Master of Arts in Counseling degree with a concentration in School Counseling is designed to train clinically competent school counselors who have integrated Christian faith into their own education. Graduates leave the Seminary prepared to meet requirements for licensure and endorsement in the state of Colorado and across the United States. In addition, they are positioned to be confident, competent, and reflective counselors, with the demonstrated knowledge and skills in areas of sound clinical investigation, thoughtful observation, scholarly research, and proven testing.

CACREP accredits master’s and doctoral degree programs in counseling and its specialties that are offered by colleges and universities in the United States and throughout the world.
