Dr. Timothy Koller joined the faculty of Denver Seminary in 2017 and serves as the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, director of the Leadership program, and chair of the Christian Thought and Ministry Division. He is also the Seminary’s accreditation liaison for the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Dr. Koller earned his PhD in Leadership Studies from Capital Seminary & Graduate School and his MA in Ministry and BS in Bible from Lancaster Bible College. In addition, he is a certified Capable Life coach and a staff coach with the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club.
Dr. Koller’s doctoral research was on the relationship between emotional intelligence and use of power style among lead pastors. He continues to examine emotional intelligence, social power, personal formation, organizational leadership, second-order change, systems thinking, and the intersection of theology and social science. His passion is to develop competent servant leaders with integrity and a holy imagination.
Before coming to Denver Seminary, Dr. Koller was a youth pastor, small business owner, church planter, theological higher education administrator, and professor. He has served on the board of the Reading-Berks Conference of Churches and as an elder of Koinos Community Church and Bloom Church.
